Do you take insurance? +
No — and that's intentional. Dobson Strength is a cash-pay practice. That means no 12-visit caps, no prior authorizations, and no cookie-cutter treatment plans written by an insurance committee. You pay directly for the care you actually need. HSA and FSA funds can typically be used for physical therapy services — confirm with your plan administrator.
Can I do this remotely, or do I have to be in Bend? +
Both. If you're local to Central Oregon, in-person sessions give you access to hands-on manual therapy, direct movement assessment, and corrective coaching. If you're outside the area, fully remote Hybrid PT covers strength programming and video-based coaching. Some situations genuinely require hands-on care — we'll be upfront about when that's the case and help you find the right resource if needed.
Do I need to be injured to work with you? +
No. Many clients come in healthy and want to stay that way — or they're grinding through nagging discomfort that hasn't crossed into a formal "injury" yet. Hybrid PT works for anyone who wants expert eyes on their movement, a structured strength program, and a practitioner who understands what your training actually demands.
How is this different from regular physical therapy? +
Traditional insurance PT typically runs 2–3× per week for a few weeks, often leans on passive modalities (hot packs, ultrasound, generic band exercises), and ends when your pain resolves. Hybrid PT is 1-on-1 the entire time, strength-focused from session one, and doesn't wrap up until you've rebuilt the capacity to train at your level — not just function without pain on a good day.
How long does the program take? +
It depends on what we're working with and where you want to go. Most people see meaningful progress in 6–12 weeks. More complex issues or bigger performance goals take longer. We don't give you an arbitrary end date — we give you a framework and honest benchmarks so you always know where you stand and what comes next.
What does the digital coaching actually look like day-to-day? +
Your full program lives in the Dobson Strength app — exercises, sets, reps, video demos, and progress tracking. Between sessions you log workouts, flag issues, and message directly. This isn't a PDF emailed once and never updated. It's an active coaching relationship. Your program evolves as you do.
